First an update - remember Marty from last week's email?  Well Neal called to check on him and they took him straight from the airport to the hospital against his "wishes".  The next day they performed a quadruple bypass on him!  So he got lucky indeed!

This week I attended the funeral of a friend and since I arrived at the church a bit early I decided to snap a few shots.  This one has some color and feel I enjoyed so here it is as a remembrance to the day.

Be thankful for what you have - since we know not what tomorrow brings (Brandon 2:27:09).

Long week with travels to and from Vegas.
A week in Vegas is a time warp.  The early mornings and late nights send your body into auto-pilot.

Last night on the flight home - which was delayed 4 hours - we had a medical event where a man was having the shakes/sweats and possible heart issues.

He was brought up front into our row where they kept him on oxygen and monitored for the trip.  The doctor who happened to be on the flight is here in my seat.  After about 45 mins she felt he was stable and I sat down.  Marty (heart attack in November - 2 stints put in and suffers a bit with Parkinson's) was a bit shaky and was in Vegas for a gambling week at the Wynn.  He told us the story of how after winning $12,000 playing poker - he sat to play the slots and 30 mins later security came over to him to tell him that the woman  who was trying to "hit" on him took his winnings from his pocket!!  Security tracked her on camera but did not catch her before she left.  So he is waiting to hear the news since they told him the penalty for prostitution is like probation for 6 months - but for the theft 10-20 years.  Vegas has their priorities straight!

Neal played a good wet nurse and Marty told Neal he will see good things from his kindness in helping out on our flight.

This is a straightforward shot.

Every day I walk on Sixth Ave I pass a pet shop with puppies for sale in the windows.  They always have a crowd there and it is indeed quite tempting for all.

This week I saw this little pup enjoying a snooze while the mayhem went on around him/her.

This week I took a walk on the High Line Park at night.  Some of the views are amazing and I wish I could share more here.  The image of the week is this one which makes me feel like I'm watching a few TV images of Tenth Ave running below it.  I was surprised how much I liked the layered feel of the image.  You can also see the streak of an airplane upper left.

This week was a cold one in the northeast.  Ice, snow, rain, slush then more ice with temps in the teens then dropping with the wind chill.  I had on 5 layers of clothing yesterday while working the streets and it was so cold I had to laugh as the wind blew.

So rather than go with a picture from the week I decided to go with a warm shot to brighten the cold morning.

Temps are supposed to triple from now until Sunday!  Have a good weekend.

A Quick Look at the 1972 Hasselblad 500C/M

Just a few snaps of the awesome and durable 500C/M.
