Fujifilm X100 with WCL-X100 Conversion Lens

I've basically left the WCL on my X100 since I got it last week and I love the flexibility of the 28mm equivalent.  Here are a few snaps from around town over the past week.  The images are at ISO 200-1000 handheld.

Weekly Email - 6-15-12 - What Do They Shoot Now?

This week I take a look at the massive transformation of people using cameras to shoot photos to using camera-phones to shoot images. 
We are familiar with the ease of use of our smartphones for taking a quick on the go photo and in this series you can see a few different moments.

I can imagine the look of the girls lying down on the fountain and how fast they are posting it to the web.  The other couple had just kissed and shot their image as you can see between them.  And lastly a woman takes some snaps around the fountain.

I remain a big fan of photography with my cameras due to their flexibility and capabilities but certainly any capture device makes it fun to share all of the times of our lives.

Fujifilm X100 with WCL-X100 28mm Adapter Lens

I am really enjoying the new 28mm adapter lens for the X100.  Yesterday I stopped by Mt. Zion cemetery off the LIE to try out the new performance of my X100.  Mt. Zion has over 200,000 people buried there.
Here are a few images.  Every image shows edge to edge sharpness and no apparent change in performance of the camera that I can tell in any facet with the WCL-X100 attached.

Space Shuttle Enterprise Heads up the Hudson River

Today the space shuttle Enterprise made its way to the deck of the Intrepid.  I took a quick break to snap a few shots as it went up the Hudson to its new home.  I shot these at various focal lengths up to 624mm with the Fujifilm X-S1 camera.

 The special crane with the yellow arms to pick up the shuttle and place it on the Intrepid deck.

 What a terrific blue sky for the shuttle journey!

Fujifilm X-Pro1 with 35mm Lens

 
I love the colors in nature.   This week I picked out a few images which have some unique color and points to them. 
The tiny purple flowers have a unique prickly stem and we all know how the cactus grows.  But I thought it was amazing to see how the cactus transitions its points from green to red as a warning to stay back!   These plants were shot in the NY Botanical Gardens with the FinePix F750 and X-Pro1.  Have a great weekend.

 This series shows several ways to approach a flower shot with a simple point n shoot camera.  I used the FinePix F750 and changed exposure as well as flash use.
