Roosevelt Island Visit

A great afternoon weekend trip is over to Roosevelt Island.  There are so many nice views to take in and the transportation over on the tram is a unique gem.
I started the day in Long Island City by the Pepsi sign, then headed over to the island and the new FDR memorial park area.

Some women take in the view over to NYC from LIC.  You can see the UN building on the left.
The walk along the water on Roosevelt Island is a nice one on the water's edge.  I've included one with a filter applied in camera and one standard.

After a short walk south you come to the massive stairs leading up to a great view of the FDR display.

Shooting with the Fujifilm X-T1 and the XF55-200 I made a double exposure in camera of the full moon and Ed Koch Bridge.  This is a new favorite image of late.

Once you cross back over to Manhattan on the tram the view is great looking east.  Here you can see the full moon on the upper left side.  Late night calls for the XF56mm F1.2 - these shots are made easy when you have a wide open lens like the XF56.  I switched to tungsten white balance to even out the lighting a bit better and of course that leads to a nice deep blue twilight sky.
