The other night I caught these guys galloping by with the F550. Luckily it has a fast release and start up time. Not bad for a direct from camera jpeg no adjustments. Shot at 1/800 @ F/7.1.
Honestly, nice picture, good "caught". Dynamic-range-wise... naaah, you must be kidding! There are even some... "dead spots" at the right leg and on the tack. So glad this isn't tagged with X100 though :).
Could You please post the Exif-Data of this pic? Did You shot some more pictures with the F550EXR? Would be glad, to see some more samples. Thanks, Maximilianus
I just purchased this camera - it is amazing but has one fatal flaw - start-up time is close to 10 seconds - I can't tell you how many candids I missed at a recent family event.
Hello Dr Griff - please try a different SD card as well as formatting the card in the camera. If you are using a card with a class speed below say 4 - this would make sense - if you are using class 10 it should not be the case. Let me know - Brandon
Where'd you grab this camera? It's supposedly not released yet?
